travelling green is to experience the environment without altering it; using 'leave no trace principles'. observing and giving wildlife their space.

part of living green is being mindful of single use and unrecyclable items, choosing alternatives whenever possible; a small amount of recycling is processed locally in westport but most is shipped away to landfill so its important to our community to reduce as much waste as we can.

compostable items are recycled here at beaconstone.

we use eco cleaning products and quality reusable materials to maintain safe hygiene standards in your accommodation. for your convenience, we provide eco products for you while you stay.

no, so sorry... dogs especially can cause wekas and other local wildlife to be nervous in their natural environment.  we participate in trapping programmes to help with survival of local native flora and wildlife.   native kiwi are in these surrounding bush areas. we support the local west coast penquin turst. https://www.westcoastpenguintrust.org.nz/birds/blue-penguin/

no internet here - embrace this perfect opportunity to unplug and let yourself be distracted by the south islands wild west coast  surroundings - (cell coverage is available on parts of the property).
