Everything about this property is perfect. The layout, the sunset look out, the access to the river, the bedrooms, kitchen and lounge all were perfect. I proposed to my partner at their sunset lookout, it was perfect. Also the owners were super nice and made us feel very welcome.

Awesome place to stay, being close to Westport as well as Punakaiki. The hut was immacutely clean and the wooden interior with the little fireplace made it feel very warm and welcoming. The views out to Paparoa NP, was magic. The bathroom facilitities were a pleasure to use. The kitchen facilities meant we could make hot drinks but not cook, but we were able to work around this. Very accommodating hosts who want to make your stay the best it can be. A real gem of a place in a special corner of the West Coast and would highly recommend it.

We had a delightful stay at Liane's place. The cottage is comfortable and charming, with lovely views out of the many windows. The fireplace, with plenty of wood, turned the sitting room into a cosy place to visit and talk together within our group. The location is very convenient to the natural attractions of the region, as well as the commerce at Westport. The grounds themselves immerse you in the bush. Liane and her husband answered every question, and made every effort to make our stay memorable. Highly recommended!

Beaconstone is a serene haven set in beautiful wild west coast countryside, stunningly framed by well placed windows, excellent outdoor seating and far enough off the main road to forget that there is a world outside the property during the stay. A fire had warmed the house for our late night arrival, and we were treated to spectacular birdsong in the morning. The cottage had everything you would need for a lengthy visit, and the house easily accommodated the three adults in our group.

Stunning native bush views. Excellent setting for rest and relaxation. Quality time was spent together, without a tv or internet. Hospitable hosts inspired us by showing us their ecosystems around the property.

We had a truly wonderful stay here! The cottage is beautifully furnished with care and we felt well taken care of. There is a fully equiped kitchen, comfy room spaces and a warm fireplace for relaxing in the evenings. Liane is a superb host, and we can't wait to visit again.

Lianes cottage is in such a beautiful setting …. The cottage felt so homely and warm with loads of homely touches that felt luxurious yet practically appointed. The master bed is super comfy.. and the living areas had heaps of ambience and character

Fabulous place to stay with our family. Highly recommend the walk from the cottage down to the river. Our kids had quite an adventure and the river is beautiful. Wonderful stay. Would recommend if you like a relaxing cozy holiday with your family.

Gorgeous accommodation with stunning secluded views. Loved being able to play board games in front of the fire. We picked this place specifically for the fire and it didn’t disappoint having two options. The sunset walk spot was amazing. Big cozy bed. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We can’t speak highly enough about this wonderful place. The indoor and outdoor spaces are so inviting and relaxing. You have everything you could possibly need, plus a fireplace and games and books. It’s so comfortable and the views are incredible.

Incredible stay - great location (feels remote but reasonably close to town), cabin was beautiful and immaculately clean, river was fantastic for a dip, sunset spot was gorgeous. Liane and her family were lovely. I would recommend this place without hesitation!

The cottage is located between Westport and Charleston in a fantastic quiet location overlooking the Valley. The cottage is very nicely decorated with great attention to detail. A nice fireplace is the center of the room and a very nice cooking area. Outside area there is a barbecue and a large dining table. However, we did not use that. You can enjoy the sunset from the cottage or an outlet in the immediate vicinity. For this you have to take a walkway through the bush /Rainforest. Really great. There is also a bushwalkway to a small river where you can swim wonderfully. fantastically beautiful. Unfortunately we only stayed 2 nights, but would book here again anytime.
